A Bit About Me

My name is Jessica, and my pronouns are she/her. I received my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Western Illinois University in 2018. I am a licensed counselor in both Illinois and Iowa, and I typically work with clients aged 12 and older, providing both in-person and telehealth services.

My therapeutic practice centers on a holistic, sex-positive, and trauma-informed approach, validating and humanizing all experiences. I strive to respect and incorporate each client’s values, background, identity, and diversity, fostering personal growth and empowerment.

Areas of Special Interest & Training

I am passionate about helping individuals with matters of self-acceptance and self-worth, with a particular focus on supporting those navigating healthy and pleasure-based sexuality, gender incongruence, dysphoria, and affirmation goals. Additionally, I have extensive training and experience working with clients who have experienced relational trauma, attachment wounds, domestic violence, intimate partner violence, and sexual violence.

My counseling approach integrates Mindfulness and Internal Family Systems (IFS) Theory, which emphasizes exploring and identifying different parts of ourselves to cultivate curiosity, compassion, and unconditional acceptance of our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
