A Bit About Me
I started Quad City Psychotherapy in 2017 with the vision of providing exceptional mental health care to people looking to heal, grow, and transform. I have been extremely fortunate to have excellent clinicians join the practice along the way. Finding a good therapist is like finding a great pair of hiking boots. You know you are going on a journey and the boots need to have both the comfort and technical features to take you where you want to go. You might have to try on several pairs to find what you're looking for or you might get lucky and find a great fit your first try. I believe the team at Quad City Psychotherapy offers potential clients a variety of personalities and styles as well as clinical modalities and specialities to provide clients with a good fit.

I am not currently taking new clients as my role has shifted to managing the practice and supervising clinicians. I am also exploring ways to utilize my training in Internal Family Systems at the community level and to incorporate equine therapy into community practice. I oversee the graduate student interns that provide counseling for $25/session to youth and adults who may be uninsured or underinsured and looking for a more affordable therapy option.

Areas of Special Interest & Training
I have a particular interest in Internal Family Systems and completed Level 1 Certification Training in May 2025.
I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) at the Level 1 - though I never completed all the final paperwork to be a certified provider on the EMDRIA site. I really appreciate EMDR for its ability to help folks develop new beliefs about themselves and the world through re-examining trauma with support in a whole-being way.
I enjoy using elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative therapy, Polyvagal theory, and mindfulness-based CBT.
I am hoping to find ways to do group and community therapeutic work in the coming years while managing the practice.
