A Bit About Me
Hi, thank you for looking at my profile! You may be here because you feel, or someone in your life feels, that you could benefit from talking to someone outside your family or friends. I’m here to listen and to help you generate new ways of thinking and coping. I will provide you with a comfortable environment to explore yourself. Together, we will identify strategies and tools to manage your thoughts and feelings, become aware of your strengths, and grow as an individual. I use techniques from evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Exposure and Response Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy to impact growth and change.

Areas of Special Interest & Training
The primary focus of my practice is treating adults, adolescents, and tweens struggling with anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, difficulty managing anger or adjusting to a variety of life changes and challenges.
I have a specific interest in working with families coping with separation and divorce and have helped many parents and children navigate the event in a healthy manner. Family Systems and Solution-Focused treatment approaches are used to gain a better understanding of each other’s perspectives, identify positive family dynamics, improve communication, and generate goals regarding co-parenting and supporting each member of the family unit. I have experience with the court system, DCFS, and GALs in the state of Illinois.
I enjoy creating and using art in my practice with tweens and adolescents. For individuals who have trouble articulating emotions verbally, it can be a powerful means of communication and healing. By engaging in the creative process, teens can externalize their feelings and experiences, gaining new insight into their inner thoughts and feelings, and finding new ways to cope with challenges. It can be a powerful tool to engage those who might not be excited about the therapy process.
