A Bit About Me

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 13 years of experience, I am dedicated to guiding individuals on their journey to healing and self-discovery. My approach to therapy is rooted in warmth, compassion, and a genuine desire to create a safe, supportive environment where you can continue your healing, growth, and achieve your goals.

Throughout my career, I have worked in diverse therapeutic settings, including homeless shelters, partial hospitalization programs for mental health and substance abuse, residential adolescent treatment, and private practice. These experiences have shaped my therapeutic perspective and enriched my ability to connect with clients from all walks of life.

I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from Judson University in 2004 and my Master of Social Work from Aurora University in 2011. Since then, I have become a Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Counselor (2011) and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (2013). I have also received training to be able to provide Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, an innovative and effective therapy designed to help individuals recover from trauma and distressing life experiences.

My practice focuses on reproductive mental health, addressing issues such as pregnancy planning, fertility challenges, reproductive trauma, perinatal mood and anxiety disorders, and pregnancy or infant loss. I offer compassionate support throughout pregnancy, postpartum, and the transition into parenthood. I have completed specialized training in perinatal mental health through Postpartum Support International, which informs my approach to these unique and sensitive concerns. In addition to reproductive mental health, I am skilled in supporting individuals dealing with codependency, family dynamics involving alcohol use, and anxiety.
