At Quad City Psychotherapy, we believe therapy should be a place where people can speak freely, connect deeply, and rediscover their inner resilience. Today, we’re excited to introduce David Evans, LMSW, a new clinician on our team whose work brings together existential depth, practical tools, and a profoundly human touch.
David joins us with a clear mission: to help people move from surviving to flourishing.
He offers a therapeutic space rooted in radical acceptance, curiosity, and the belief that exploring life’s biggest questions can change the way we live every day.

A Therapist Drawn to Life’s Biggest Questions
David’s approach is grounded in Existential Therapy, a perspective that invites clients to explore the deeper dimensions of being human—anxiety, loneliness, purpose, responsibility, identity, and mortality.
Rather than treating these experiences as symptoms to eliminate, David sees them as invitations to clarity and transformation.
He helps clients ask the kinds of questions that open new doors:
What do I want my life to mean?
How do I live authentically?
What does it look like to move toward my truest self?
This work is supported by evidence-based methods including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Mindfulness-Based Practices, blending insight with practical skills clients can use right away.
An Artist, Musician, Writer, and Thinker
Before becoming a therapist, David spent years immersed in creative and contemplative practice. He is an artist, musician, and writer, and brings that breadth of experience into his work with clients.
His therapeutic perspective is shaped by:
a lifelong passion for philosophy and psychology
years of meditation practice
a deep concern for the emotional wellbeing of individuals and communities
an appreciation for human complexity, resilience, and creativity
Training and Professional Background
David holds a Master of Social Work from St. Ambrose University, as well as a Master of Gerontology from Webster University. His clinical experience includes work in community mental health, trauma-informed care, addiction recovery, elder support, and end-of-life challenges.
He has worked as:
a clinical therapist
a mental health counseling intern
a social services professional supporting older adults
a dementia support facilitator
This broad range of experience allows David to support clients across many stages of life and with a wide spectrum of challenges.
