We are excited to welcome Nicole Standaert, t-LMHC, as a permanent addition to the Quad City Psychotherapy team! Nicole completed her internship with us and we loved her so much, we had to hire her!
Nicole brings a thoughtful, holistic approach to therapy that reflects her deep care for the well-being of each client she works with.
Nicole holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Upper Iowa University and has a background in early childhood development and parenting education through her work with the Parents as Teachers program. Her experience supporting families and children forms the foundation for her client-centered, compassionate therapeutic style.
At Quad City Psychotherapy, Nicole primarily works with older teens, young adults and adults navigating anxiety, depression, identity exploration, self-esteem challenges, and life transitions. She incorporates a variety of evidence-based approaches, including:
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT)
Motivational Interviewing (MI)
Somatic Therapy
Nicole believes in the power of mindful, collaborative therapy. She works with clients to explore the connections between the physical, emotional, and social aspects of their lives, helping them develop greater self-awareness and acceptance. Her sessions provide a safe, non-judgmental space where clients are heard, supported, and empowered to guide their own growth.
Outside of the therapy room, Nicole finds joy in creative pursuits and the outdoors. She loves hiking, kayaking, playing pickleball, cross-stitching, and relaxing with a book in her hammock—often with her beloved dog by her side.
We are thrilled to have Nicole as part of our growing team. Her warmth, insight, and holistic philosophy make her a wonderful resource for our clients and community.
Nicole is accepting new clients. She is in network with Blue Cross Blue Shield and also accepts private pay clients. You can schedule with Nicole by following this link:
